International Education Week is celebrated this year from November 16-19th. This is 16th year of IEW with the purpose of "celebrating the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide." Full information about the history of the event is available on the Department of State: Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs website.
As our contribution to this national celebration, Jefferson State will be holding a few events and activities:
- International Education Week Photo/Art Contest: Submissions are due by November 6th.
- November 16th & 17th will be 'Wear Your International Days!" -- Have an outfit reflective of another culture or your cultural heritage, wear it to class on November 16th & 17!
- November 18th - Jefferson Campus - Country Highlights (currently scheduled for India and a 2nd country TBA)
- November 19th -- Shelby-Hoovers Campus - Country Highlights (currently scheduled for India and a 2nd country TBA)
