 Eimear Nolan is the Vice-Consul, Consulate of Ireland, Atlanta since November 2021.  She has worked for the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs and in civil service for Amnesty International, Ireland and Oxfam Ireland before moving into the public sector.  Ms. Nolan holds a BA in Economics, Politics & Law from Dublin City University and a Masters in Gender, Globalisation, and Human Rights from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

     Dr. Syeda Hafiza Benish Ali
Fulbright Scholar Dr. Syeda Benish Ali from the COMSATS University Islamabad, Department of Biosciences will be visiting as a guest lecturer to Jefferson State.  She will speak on her expertise in  ecology, medical genetics, and impacts of climate change.  She is currently a Fulbright Scholar with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

YAD VASHEM - International Holocaust Remembrance Center:  AN EXPERIENCE
This talk will focus on the three weeks Liesl Harris spent studying at Yad Vashem, the International Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem.  Liesl will share what she learned through her studies.  She'll also share about her travels around Israel, the friendships she made, and the insights she brought home.

TASTE OF BRAZIL - CAPOEIRA DEMONSTRATION AND TEACHING

Capoeira is an afro-brazilian martial arts/dance that was developed during the slave trade 500 years ago. To learn capoeira one must learn not only the martial arts aspect, but as well the music, history, philosophy and Portuguese, capoeira is a simple and yet a complex art. The International Capoeira Angola Foundation (ICAF in english, FICA in portuguese) is the largest capoeira angola organization in the world, it's founded by Mestre Cobra Mansa in Washington DC in 1994, CM Fabio Melo is the current leader of the Washington DC Chapter.
